エリザベス女王（Elizabeth Ⅱ, 1926年4月21日～）
エリザベス女王の正確な肩書きは、「イギリス連邦王国」の君主、また「イングランド国教会」の首長です。
父はヨーク公アルバート王子（後のジョージ6世）、母はエリザベス王妃です。
エリザベスは父、ジョージ6世の逝去を受けて、1953年6月2日、ウェストミンスター寺院で女王に即位しました。
その6年前には既に結婚していて、夫はギリシャの王子、フィリップです。
フィリップは、エリザベスの初恋の相手でした。
フィリップとの間には、チャールズ皇太子を含め、4人の子供に恵まれました。
2013年現在、エリザベス女王は現役を続行していて、マイペースに公務をこなしています。
1953年の女王即位から60周年、これは歴代英国君主としては最高の在位期間です。
そして、それだけ長きに亘り、女王の座にいて国を統治しているのですから、当然その威厳や気高さには計り知れないものがあります。
自分の意見を無理に押し通すよりも、物腰が柔らかく、他人の意見にも耳を傾けるそうですが、それでも女王の前に出た人々は皆、その圧倒的な存在感の前で口を聞くことができなくなるといいます。
キャサリンは、エリザベス女王に、クリスマスギフトとして任天堂「Wii」をプレゼントしたことがあり、それを女王が気に入って時々プレイしているそうです。
新たに孫となったキャサリンとは非常に仲がよく、公務でも自然に寄り添う姿が度々キャッチされています。

Elizabeth II
The exact title of Elizabeth II is the monarchy of the United Kingdom and its overseas territories or the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.
Her father is Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI). Her mother is Elizabeth, Duchess of York (later Queen Elizabeth).
Elizabeth ascended the throne on 2 June 1953 in Westminster Abbey, upon the death of her father, King George VI.
She already married six years before it. Her husband is Prince Philip of Greece.
Prince Philip was the person whom Elizabeth fell in love with in the first time.

Elizabeth celebrated the 60th anniversary of the British monarch's coronation since her coronation in 1953, which is the longest term as the British monarch.
The majesty and nobility are immeasurable as she has served as a queen for such a long time.
She listens to other's opinions more than sticks to her own opinions. But it is said that anyone who met her are not able to talk to her due to her overwhelming presence.
Catherine presented a gift, Nintendo "Wii" to Elizabeth as a Christmas gift, and she sometimes enjoys playing it.
She has the very good relationship with her new granddaughter, Catherine, and it has been frequently seen that they get close naturally in the public services.
