世界には数多くの王家が存在しますが、英国にいた私にとって英国の王室には特別な思い入れがありました。

私が在住していた1997年に、ダイアナ妃が突然の事故死。

私は、友達から「ダイアナ妃が亡くなった」と聞いても全く信じられずテレビを見て目が点になりました。

ウィリアム王子の幼い頃の姿も記憶に焼き付いています。

そんなウィリアム王子が、ケイト・ミドルトンという気品と知性漂う美しい女性と結ばれ、大変嬉しく思うと同時に、現キャサリン妃の素顔をダイアナ妃に想いを馳せつつ振り返ってみようと思い、レポートにすることにしました。
