ウィリアムと復縁をしたケイトは、もう迷うことはありませんでした。
相変わらずウィリアムとは会えないことが多く、パパラッチは常に彼女を狙っていましたが、彼女は持ち前のタフな精神で全てを切り抜け、余裕を見せるようになったのです。
ウィリアムは陸軍から空軍に移り、度々長期の訓練参加でケイトと疎遠になりましたが、今度は休暇のたびにケイトやその家族を訪れるようになりました。
ケイトは、ロイヤル・ファミリーの行事に参加するようになりました。
2008年5月17日に行われた、ウィリアムの従兄であるピーター・フィリップスの結婚式には一人で出席し、花嫁以上の注目を浴びました。
自分が主役ではない場面で、彼女は控えめに目立たないように用心していましたが、それでもパパラッチは執拗に追いかけてきました。
このようなことはケイトの気持ちを不愉快にしましたが、王族の行事に一人で参加するということは、彼女が王家の人々に認められている証拠です。
王室メンバーが慈善事業に熱心なのに倣って、ケイトも徐々に慈善事業に没頭していきました。
そして自分でプロジェクトを立ち上げ、より慈善事業に意欲的になると、ジグソーに辞表を出してそちらの方に専念するようになったのです。
ケイトは一度の破局を乗り越え、再び幸福に満ちた順風満帆な生活を謳歌し始めました。
そして2010年、ウィリアムとケイトはついに婚約したのです。

To the Engagement
Kate got back to William and she did not worry anymore.
She could not meet William as usual and paparazzi always had aimed at her, but she survived everything with her tough spirit and had got a plenty of breathing room.
Although William moved to the Air Force from the Army and often had been away from Kate due to the participation in long term training, he had visited Kate and her families on his every vacation.
Kate became to participate in the events of the Royal family.
On 17th May 2008, she attended the wedding of Peter Phillips, a cousin of William alone and attracted more attentions than the bride did.
She tried to be modest and careful so as not to attract attention when she was not the main person, but paparazzi had relentlessly chased her.
Although such a thing made her feel unpleasant, but participating alone in the events of the royal family demonstrates that she has been admitted by the royal family.

And she launched a project on her own, become more motivated for charities, and gave in her resignation to Jigsaw to devote herself to charities.
Kate overcame a breakup and began enjoying happy life again.
And in 2010, William and Kate finally got engaged.
